Tampa Bay Partnership Talent Pipeline Management Implementation
Addressing regional healthcare and manufacturing workforce challenges requires innovative solutions aimed at critical bottlenecks in the workforce pipeline and a coordinated regional response.
AIR provided strategic consultation to the Tampa Bay Partnership to launch and implement highly active employer collaboratives focused on pipeline development for the healthcare and advanced manufacturing industries.
AIR's Strategic Consulting Services
The Tampa Bay Partnership engaged AIR in strategic consulting services to launch employer collaboratives utilizing the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Talent Pipeline Management® (TPM®) framework and methodology. Specifically, AIR helped its healthcare and advanced manufacturing collaboratives:
- Identify their most critical occupational pain points;
- Collect and analyze demand planning, competency and credential, talent flow, and pipeline capacity data;
- Engage with talent and education suppliers to address critical occupational and training needs; and
- Establish new business-led programming and worker-centered approaches to improving the pipeline and offering quality job opportunities to workers.
Our work resulted in the expansion of several programs, as well as the establishment of new training and education programs. It also supported a sustained network of employers and education and training providers working to grow the regional healthcare and advanced manufacturing workforce.
These efforts enhanced the provision of quality jobs to a diverse pipeline of learners and workers in fields like surgical technology; medical and clinical laboratory technology; entry-level manufacturing production; and industrial maintenance technology.
