Human Services

Building healthier families and communities through research, technical assistance, and collaboration.

Empowering positive change to help people thrive

Our work at the American Institutes for Research® (AIR) helps a variety of stakeholders—from policymakers to public health professionals, educators and youth development professionals to families—foster equitable pathways to success in life. Our collaborative approach is designed to support our clients as they develop a better understanding of the factors that shape outcomes for young people, families, and communities, and identify effective supports and opportunities for them to thrive. We pose incisive questions and apply advanced analytics to build and use evidence to chart a path forward.

Our experts have decades of experience in public health, youth development, education, workforce, justice and reentry, housing, and family and community engagement. We are committed to cross sector collaboration with programs, providers, and systems through our rigorous research and evaluation, and technical assistance work. This commitment is evident through our efforts to bridge knowledge and action as we work together with partners on strengths-based and evidence-informed solutions to ensure that youth, families, and communities succeed.
