AIR created the Center for Effective Collaboration and Practice to bridge the gap between the body of research on improving services for children with emotional and behavioral problems, and the actual practice of serving them.
The purpose of this contract was for AIR to design an impact evaluation of the Alaska ICE initiative that documented its progress, determined its efficacy, and provide evidence reports to federal sponsors and community stakeholders.
The Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q) initiative sought to lift the overall quality, equality, and value of health care in 16 communities across the country. AIR provided technical assistance to help the Alliances meet quality and cost goals by engaging consumers in their health and health care.
In 2009, HISD partnered with AIR to implement the Good Behavior Game in first- and second-grade classrooms, with a grant funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. By 2015, more than 100 teachers will be trained, and more than 7,000 children will have been reached.

This California HealthCare Foundation-funded project extends AIR’s work to develop a Communication Toolkit to help employers and other organizations communicate with consumers about evidence-based health care and the importance of consumer engagement.
