Professional Experiences & Networking | P3 U.S. Program

Connecting students with opportunities in social and behavioral research

Made possible by the AIR Opportunity Fund, the AIR Pipeline Partnership Program (P3) offers graduate students a range of immersive professional experiences and networking opportunities.

As students gain real-world experience and build relationships with expert practitioners and scholars, AIR researchers benefit from fresh ideas and perspectives that enhance our work.

P3 Fellowship Program

AIR’s P3-U.S. Fellowship awards two-year dissertation grants to outstanding doctoral students at AIR’s partner universities, followed by one-year, paid postdoctoral fellowships at AIR. Fellows are selected through a competitive process that includes input from an expert panel of academics, AIR Scholars, and AIR staff.

Meet the P3 Fellows.

P3 ENGAGE Mentorship Program

Through P3 ENGAGE, doctoral students from P3 universities and partners are matched with AIR Scholars and other industry leaders who provide mentorship and guidance throughout their doctoral programs. The program helps students:

  • Build meaningful relationships with leading scholars outside their academic program;
  • Gain insights on research methodologies, theories, and practical applications;
  • Explore cultural and linguistic perspectives in social and behavioral science research;
  • Learn about relevant resources related to their areas of focus; and
  • Expand their professional networks to support career growth.

P3 Internships

Through our paid summer internships for master’s and doctoral students currently enrolled at P3 partner universities, AIR welcomes the next generation of research and technical assistance professionals to work alongside our staff, grow their professional networks, and gain experience supporting social and behavioral science research projects. This program is just one of the ways that AIR works to identify, attract, and build a pipeline of skilled future talent.
