The AIR Pipeline Partnership Program (P3) supports exceptional doctoral students and early-career researchers who are advancing knowledge in the behavioral and social sciences. The P3 Fellows are exploring new ideas, evidence-based solutions, and research-driven strategies to expand opportunity and improve lives.
Through mentorship, research funding, and hands-on training, these scholars are building stronger communities, driving innovation, and shaping the future of their fields. We’re proud to introduce this outstanding group of fellows!
Meet the P3-U.S. Fellows
In partnership with Georgia State University, Howard University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio, the P3-U.S. Fellowship supports doctoral students as they pursue groundbreaking research and prepare for careers in social science research and technical assistance.
Howard University
Ami Adjoh-Baliki (Economics): A doctoral candidate with a master’s degree in economics from the University of Southern California, Ami focuses on economic growth, poverty, and gender issues. Her work examines the structural factors that influence economic development and inequality.
Devyn Brown (Social Work): A doctoral student and research fellow at The Sentencing Project, Devyn specializes in mental health and well-being among formerly incarcerated African American men. Her work includes policy research on reentry and sentencing reform.
Georgia State University
Roti Chakraborty (Educational Policy Studies): A dean’s research doctoral fellow and international scholar from Bangladesh, Roti studies cross-cultural educational inequalities through psychometric measurement, assessment fairness, and global learning evaluations.
Kristin Hemingway (Learning Sciences & Instructional Technology): An interdisciplinary educator and researcher, Kristin focuses on empowering early-career teachers through culturally responsive teaching practices and virtual communities of practice.
Alexandria Johnson (Educational Policy Studies): With a master’s degree in higher education administration, Alexandria has worked extensively in student support services, minority advocacy, and disability inclusion. Her research examines higher education access, leadership, and student success strategies.
University of Texas at San Antonio
Fatima Frausto (Applied Demography): A public health practitioner and demographer, Fatima investigates how structural policies shape Latino/a/x health behaviors and mortality outcomes. Her previous research spans sexual and reproductive health, childhood development, and cancer prevention.

Meet the P3-Africa Fellows
Through partnerships with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS), and universities in Tanzania and Kenya, the P3-Africa Fellowship supports scholars leading innovative research on economic development, education, and social policy across the continent.
University of Cape Town (South Africa)
Gameli Adika (School of Economics): A lecturer and research coordinator at the University of Cape Town, Gameli specializes in health and nutrition economics, education, and child development in low- and middle-income countries.
Raynold Runganga (School of Economics): A teaching assistant in econometrics and macroeconomics, Raynold’s research examines trade shocks, labor market adjustments, and economic policy in South Africa.
University of Yaoundé (Cameroon)
Rachel Nadine Njowe (Applied Economics): With a master’s degree in applied economics, Rachel’s research explores financial innovations and gender inequalities in developing countries, focusing on economic empowerment strategies.
