Workforce shortages threaten innovation and competitiveness across industries. AIR helps organizations interpret labor market data, employer, and education and training data to identify priority sectors and occupations and analyze talent and skill gaps.

We also strengthen industry partnerships and align workforce, education, and community efforts around shared talent goals. We plan and implement coordinated strategies and continuously adapt approaches to remain responsive to changing and emerging industry needs.

Arizona Statewide Healthcare Workforce Plan

The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation engaged with AIR to convene statewide healthcare systems, workforce development leaders, nonprofit organizations, education institutions, and government leaders to discuss strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in Arizona’s healthcare workforce ecosystem. Together, they identified key priorities and strategies to address the significant healthcare shortages the state faces that laid the foundation for improvement planning.

WorkSource Georgia Mountains Sector Partnership Projects

In 2014, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal launched the High Demand Career Initiative to hear directly from businesses about their training and workforce development needs. In response, information was gathered in 2014 and 2015 that described the workforce needs of Georgia employers at a state level and this was not detailed enough for each region to develop and implement customized solutions. As a result, AIR supported the development of regional sector partnerships to understand and act on the needs of advanced and diversified manufacturing and health care industries to bolster alignment between the demand and supply of labor.

Tampa Bay Partnership Talent Pipeline Management Implementation

Addressing regional healthcare and manufacturing workforce challenges requires innovative solutions aimed at critical bottlenecks in the workforce pipeline and a coordinated regional response. AIR provided data-driven, strategic consultation to the Tampa Bay Partnership to identify priority industries and launch employer‑led collaboratives that strengthen talent pipelines. These collaboratives improved alignment between workforce training and employer demand, helping regional healthcare and advanced manufacturing employers close critical skill and talent gaps.
