Center for Implementing Technology in Education (CITEd)

Project

The Center for Implementing Technology in Education (CITEd) helps leadership at state and local education agencies integrate educational and assistive technology for all students to achieve high educational standards. CITEd provides this support through identification of best practices, innovative online technical assistance tools, professional development, and communities of practice.

CITEd logo CITEd is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs and is a cooperative effort of the American Institutes for Research, the Center for Applied Special Technology, and the Education Development Center.  Between October 2004 and October 2009, www.CITEd.org provided technical assistance and offered a wealth of free online resources in the following categories:

  • Learn Center provides access to vetted resources organized by role, responsibility and topic area.
  • Action Center features professional development resources to help chart a path to technology implementation success.
  • Research Center offers evidence-based, promising, and emerging practices based on the latest research.
