Leah “Vivie” Satorsky

Leah “Vivie” Satorsky provides state, territorial, and local levels of government as well as community-based organizations with training and technical assistance focused on juvenile court and related community systems. Satorsky has extensive experience supervising teams of court system and community practitioners in strategic program planning and development, implementation, and screening and assessment practices. Satorsky is currently involved with research projects where she leads a community advisory group and assists in interviews, observations, and protocol development. 

Prior to her work at AIR, Satorsky served as the program and policy director for the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Pretrial Juvenile Diversion Program (which had substance use, and mental health/case management track). In her time with the diversion program Satorsky managed agency policy, procedure, and processes as well as chairing the Inter-Agency Subcommittee of the Children and Youth Planning board for the Parish. As a practitioner she conducted hundreds of intake interviews with young people and their families and provided a range of interventions from individual and family therapy to connection to a range of supportive outside services. 

Satorsky’s background as an attorney and a social worker informs her approach in assisting clients with complex needs at all points of the juvenile court system continuum. Satorsky draws from her experience leading cross-system collaborations and court-based programming.
