The Teaching Conditions Toolkit assists states and districts in understanding what teaching conditions are and how improving key aspects of teaching conditions can raise teacher retention rates, strengthen positive school culture, and create a more positive teaching and learning environment. The 5-part toolkit includes the following modules:

Explore Module 1: Understanding Teaching Conditions
Module 1 contains materials to implement a work session that builds the knowledge and capacity of leaders and staff members from regional comprehensive centers (RCCs), state education agencies (SEAs), and local education agencies on how to use teaching conditions data to improve working conditions to recruit and retain educators. Module 1 includes a facilitator's guide, a slide presentation, and four supporting handouts.
