The Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program was designed to help unemployment insurance (UI) claimants return to work more quickly.

The Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment Evidence Building Portfolio Project (RESEA EBPP) is building evidence on how RESEA and reemployment services speed UI claimants to reemployment. As a subcontractor to Abt Associates and in partnership with the W.E. Upjohn Institute, the Behavioral Insights Team (BIT), and the National Association of State Workforce Agencies, AIR is providing evaluation technical assistance (EvalTA) to states and conducting multi-state studies to identify promising participant selection approaches and understand the costs of implementing RESEA.
 

AIR's Support of RESEA EBPP

AIR is supporting the project in the following ways:

• EvalTA: AIR provides both generalizable EvalTA and customized EvalTA to state workforce agencies and their evaluators. To support generalizable EvalTA, we work with the Abt team to develop and disseminate a suite of evaluation resources to states and respond to specialized EvalTA Helpline requests. We also provide customized EvalTA to three state workforce agencies to support them in designing and conducting evaluations of their RESEA programs.
• Selection model study: AIR co-leads the study and analysis of states' RESEA selection models. This study aims to help states understand approaches they can use to select eligible claimants for RESEA.
• Cost study: AIR is leading the RESEA cost study which will aim to generate evidence on the resources needed to implement the RESEA program and its components.
• Dissemination: AIR will support dissemination of information about the project and its findings to the appropriate audiences to strengthen the influence of the evidence and encourage application of findings.
