Workforce Development

Partners at the national, state, and local levels of the workforce development ecosystem must continuously design strategies and make decisions in order to maximize impacts and outcomes for students, job seekers, and businesses.

These decisions are made within the context of economic and societal shifts, such as climate change, rapid technology advancements, and the after-effects of a global pandemic, which include large federal investment to stimulate local and regional economies to respond equitably to emerging economic trends. Employer demand for workers with new and relevant skills remains high, and there is an increasing focus on expanding opportunity for individuals facing historical barriers to access good jobs.
