The Literacy Information and Communication System (LINCS) promotes evidence-based practice in adult education by providing high-quality resources and on-demand learning opportunities for adult education practitioners.

Through these supports, LINCS helps adult educators help adult learners successfully transition to postsecondary education and 21st-century careers.

The LINCS project, led by AIR, included the following activities:

  • Building state capacity through training and technical assistance;
  • Identifying and curating educational tools and materials for the LINCS Resource Collection;
  • Developing online resources and courses for professional learning and development; and
  • Facilitating virtual communities of practice across topics of interest to the field to engage adult educators in ongoing professional growth.
