Cherise G. Moore

Cherise G. Moore is a principal technical assistance consultant with AIR, where she specializes in leadership development, coaching, and continuous improvement in career and technical education (CTE), adult learning, and workforce development. Dr. Moore also provides strategic planning and organizational development support to educational institutions and nonprofit organizations, helping them set clear visions and actionable steps toward meaningful goals. 

With extensive experience across educational levels, Dr. Moore has served as a practitioner in adult learning, CTE, secondary, and post-secondary education. Her leadership includes roles as a district administrator, secondary school principal in Arizona and California, director of adult education, and community college and university professor.

At AIR, Dr. Moore has led several national projects, delivering technical assistance to state leaders, administrators, and educators. She has provided leadership at the state-level on projects in Arizona, California and Nevada. Her work supports systemic change and instructional improvement at scale. 

In addition to her professional roles, Dr. Moore has served on the California Department of Education’s Adult Education Field Partnership Team, as Section President for the California Council on Adult Education, and as State President for the California Adult Education Administrators Association. She is currently an elected School Board Member in Southern California in a District where she previously served as a CTE teacher, adult education teacher, and Director of Adult Education. Today, she continues to advocate for educational excellence for over 22,000 students and staff from grades 7 through adult education.
