Juliette Berg

Senior Researcher

Juliette Berg is a senior researcher at AIR. She has methodological expertise in research design, program evaluation, implementation science, and advanced quantitative methods. She has content expertise in school climate and social-emotional learning. Dr. Berg has extensive experience conducting applied child development research in a variety of setting, including K-12 schools and urban communities. Dr. Berg is the quantitative lead for the evaluation of the Collaborating Districts Initiative, focused on examining the effects of implementing social and emotional learning practices and policies in eight districts. Dr. Berg is collaborating on several randomized control trials of social and emotional learning and school climate programs, including the Safe Public Spaces Program in New York City, the Start on Success program in Chicago, and the PATHS program in Chicago.

Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Berg worked on large-scale randomized control trials of social and emotional learning interventions in elementary schools, an instructional improvement intervention in high schools, and a conditional cash transfer program in New York City. She also worked on a research team that collected and analyzed school climate data from a state-wide sample of middle and high schools. Dr. Berg completed her post-doctoral work at University of Virginia.
