A welcoming, supportive school climate contributes to students’—and teachers’—social, emotional, and cognitive development. Positive school climate and conditions for learning contribute to improved test scores, attendance, grade promotion, and graduation rates. Efforts to improve school climate and safety can also reduce violent behavior and mitigate teacher burnout. To achieve these outcomes, however, reliable, accessible data about the quality of learning environments are needed.
At AIR, we support clients throughout the entirety of the school climate planning, data collection, interpretation, and reporting process. In particular, our experts’ strengths lie not only in collecting methodologically sound data, but drawing strong, sound conclusions based on those data. We have written the book on safe, equitable, and engaging learning environments. Our interdisciplinary team has over 25 years of expertise in better learning conditions for all students.
