Hannah Acheson-Field
Hannah Acheson-Field is a senior researcher at AIR, where she designs, conducts, and leads mixed-methods, quasi-experimental, and experimental research and evaluations. Dr. Acheson-Field’s research focuses on evaluating programs and policies that help students transition into, succeed in, and afford college and the pathways and policies to help them succeed in the workforce.
Prior to AIR, Dr. Acheson-Field worked with the Maine Office of Tax Policy to evaluate the Maine Student Loan Repayment Program, a student loan repayment program and tax credit that provides a tax credit to Maine college graduates repay their student loans. Other research has included an evaluation of a one-on-one coaching program to help newly enrolled Boston college students persist in and complete their degrees, and a study funded by the National Science Foundation that analyzed the career pathways of women with doctorates in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Dr. Acheson-Field also has deep experience working on federally funded studies to help active-duty service members, civilians, and veteran populations receive equitable and competitive compensation and the training and education they need succeed in their careers.
