CALDER Center Event: Teacher Preparation & COVID Disruptions: Past, Present & Future
The COVID-19 pandemic led to significant disruptions in the ways that teacher candidates are typically prepared to become teachers, and required state policymakers to make swift changes to teacher preparation and licensure systems.
This webinar will focus on the implications of COVID disruptions of teacher education in light of the role that preparation and licensure systems play in the development of teacher candidates. You will hear both about the latest research and also get a state education agency perspective on how states responded, what has been learned, and how the pandemic will shape educator preparation moving forward.
