Social Media Community Guidelines
The American Institutes for Research® (AIR) welcomes and encourages user comments and engagement on our social media profiles. We ask that all those participating in our social media community conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards the organization; its staff, partners, and clients; and other community members. All users participate in our social media community of their own accord, and take personal responsibility for comments, username, and information provided.
We reserve the right to hide or remove comments and posts that violate the following community posting guidelines. Repeated or egregious offenses may result in a user ban from our pages and/or reporting of the user’s account.
We do not tolerate and consider the following examples of content to be a violation of the guidelines:
- Posts and comments that are abusive or hateful, or intended to defame anyone or any organization.
- Harassment, bullying, threatening, and any attacks on or intimidation of AIR staff, partners, clients, or online community members.
- Misleading or false information, including links to sites that contain misleading or false information.
- Fraudulent links, introduction of software viruses, worms, or other programs designed to damage software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment.
- Repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated by single or multiple users, including the use of the Reply function to spam.
- Overtly graphic, obscene, or explicit comments or submissions, including in a user’s profile photo.
- Advertisements, solicitations, promotional and commercial postings, including promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency.
- Off-topic, irrelevant, or unintelligible posts or comments.
