Principals Action Plan for the Every Student Succeeds Act: Providing All Students With a Well-Rounded and Complete Education

Principals can use this tool to guide their engagement with states and districts in developing and implementing consolidated plans for the Every Student Success Act (ESSA). Developed through a collaborative partnership between the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the GTL Center, this interactive tool offers principals an overview of the concept of a well-rounded and complete education. Principals will find actionable talking points to use with their states and districts to promote a well-rounded and complete education model in the following areas:Image of Principals Action Plan Guide cover

  • Standards and Assessments
  • Accountability
  • School Improvement
  • District Title I Plans and Resources
  • Professional Support for Educators
  • Student Supports and Academic Enrichment
  • High-Quality Early Learning

Finally, the tool highlights broader suggestions and resources for engaging and communicating with state and district leaders around ESSA.
