IL-EMPOWER Launch Package │ The District and School Improvement Center at AIR

Many district and school leaders find it challenging to chart a course to meet continuous improvement goals. AIR partners with district and school leaders assess their continuous improvement needs and put plans into action to improve educator effectiveness and outcomes for students.

88% of priority districts working with AIR in Illinois agreed that they were provided services that were customized to meet their goals and needs.

Introducing AIR’s IL-EMPOWER Launch Package. AIR is a professional learning partner for the state of Illinois’s system of support in all three priority areas: Governance and Management, Climate and Culture, and Curriculum and Instruction. This suite of services is specifically aimed at districts and schools that are using the Illinois Quality Framework and supporting rubric or other identified tools. Our goal is to work hand-in-hand with these districts and schools to assess their improvement needs and outline a focused improvement plan.

Our services include:

  • Illinois Quality Framework Needs Assessment Workshop. AIR will facilitate two half-day workshops for your school improvement team to review data and assess district needs based on the indicators within the Illinois Quality Framework Supporting Rubric. We recommend that representatives from the district, school, union, and community be part of the team to complete this needs assessment process.
  • Work Planning Workshop. AIR will facilitate two half-day workshops for your school improvement team to outline school improvement goals and strategies to meet the needs identified using the Illinois Quality Framework Supporting Rubric. We recommend that representatives from the district, school, union, and community be part of the team to design the IL-EMPOWER work plan.
  • Consultancy Support. Our locally based school improvement experts are available to strengthen your district’s designated needs assessment data collection and review process and articulate school improvement action steps or facilitate work groups for improvement planning.
