Measurements for Accountability to All People in Policy Solutions (MAAPPS)
Opioid settlement dollars, cannabis tax revenue, and other funding streams have provided an opportunity for some states to consider new ways of investing in solutions that address the overdose crisis and respond to the needs of their communities.
The proposed process is both collaborative and adaptive, rooted in the principles of fair opportunity and justice.
The MAAPPS project introduces a meaning making process that supports states in understanding how Black, Indigenous, communities of color, and other groups who experience disparities due to socioeconomic and geographic disparities have historically experienced benefits of drug policy innovations, policies, and investments.
The MAAPPS process will support states to develop holistic measures of success for drug control regimes and align investments and spending with strategies that promote healthy communities.
