American Institutes for Research Experts to Present at Annual Adult Education Conference
Washington, D.C. – Researchers from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) will present at the annual Commission on Adult Basic Education conference (COABE) in San Francisco, April 17 – 20. More than 1,300 people will attend the conference, which provides professional development opportunities for adult education professionals.
AIR’s Mariann Fedele-McLeod and Jacques LaCour, project leaders on AIR’s California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO), are providing leadership in the overall concept and design of the conference, whose theme is Literacy to Work: Adult Education for a Global Economy.
AIR's research and expertise in adult education instruction and literacy, professional development, program management, and policy will be highlighted through multiple presentations and sessions. Several AIR researchers will be leading featured workshops as well as offering workshops and presentations in a number of other professional development strands.
