Stacey Dale

Principal Researcher

Stacy Dale specializes in the design and implementation of large-scale health care evaluations, with particular expertise in alternative payment models. She has extensive experience developing randomized and quasi-experimental evaluation designs, estimating program impacts using Medicare and Medicaid claims and survey data, and providing rapid-cycle feedback to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Dale currently serves as co-principal investigator for CMS's Increasing Organ Transplant Access Model, which aims to expand access to life-saving kidney transplants, maximize deceased and living organ donation, and improve care coordination. She also serves as co-principal investigator for CMS's BALANCE (Better Approaches to Lifestyle and Nutrition for Comprehensive hEalth) Model, which seeks to increase access to select glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) medications and healthy lifestyle interventions to improve health outcomes.

Prior to joining AIR, Dale worked at Mathematica where she served as a senior advisor and quality assurance reviewer for the Exploring Collective Model Effects evaluation and the Making Care Primary evaluation, providing oversight of evaluation design decisions, statistical power analyses, and key project deliverables. 

Earlier, she served as co-principal investigator for the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) and Health Care Innovation Awards Round Two (HCIA2) evaluations, leading impact analyses and overseeing the development and implementation of rigorous experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation designs.
