Sadia Aslam-Khan
Sadia Aslam-Khan is a principal researcher with more than 15 years of experience working in the health care field. Currently she is a deputy project director for Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight Marketplace Operations Support contract providing technical, analytical, policy, and operational support. She oversees day-to-day contract management and supervision of the project team, ensuring AIR’s responsiveness to evolving contract needs, timeline compliance, and risk mitigation. She helps drive task design and scope development, budget management, performance measurement, and program and financial reviews.
Before joining AIR, Aslam-Khan was a consultant for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield’s Patient Center Medical Home Program, working closely with primary care physicians to identify opportunities using claims data to reduce costs and improve quality for their patient populations. In addition, she served as a senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she supported multiple health information technology projects for Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Office of the National Coordinator. Aslam-Khan also served as a lead epidemiologist for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Office of Preparedness and Response monitoring the state’s biosurveillance system.
