Lee Thompson

Principal TA Consultant

Lee Thompson is a principal technical assistance consultant at AIR. With more than 25 years of experience, she leads health care research, training and technical assistance, and learning and diffusion projects. She has expertise in engaging a variety of stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare leaders, professionals, researchers, and payers, in healthcare research and quality improvement initiatives. She is responsible for convening healthcare stakeholders via in-person and virtual meetings to develop and disseminate evidence-based implementation strategies and resources; implementing and evaluating quality improvement activities; and developing and disseminating evidence-based trainings and resources to transfer skills and knowledge related to engaging healthcare stakeholders in a range of research and quality improvement activities.

Thompson has led multi-year projects and/or tasks for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
