Leanne Elliott

Senior Researcher

Leanne Elliott specializes in early childhood research and evaluation. She has over a decade of experience leading research projects in child development and early childhood education policy, including managing timelines, staff, and primary data collection efforts.

As a mixed-methods researcher, Dr. Elliott has expertise in complex quantitative analyses, including hierarchical linear modeling, structural equation modeling, and quasi-experimental methods, as well as experience collecting and analyzing qualitative data from interviews and focus groups. Her work addresses policy-relevant questions about how early child care systems can best support children’s development.

Before joining AIR, Dr. Elliott was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Pittsburgh’s Learning Research and Development Center, where she oversaw two large federally funded projects examining socioeconomic disparities in early math learning.
