Arianna Caprioli

Arianna Caprioli is an expert in postsecondary education, STEM, student assessment and evaluation, academic design and delivery, technical assistance, cultural and linguistic competence, international education, and chronic and infectious diseases. 

At AIR, Dr. Arianna Caprioli has acquired almost a decade of experience in test development as part of a group of professionals that writes, reviews, and edits test material for a high-stakes, internationally recognized, standardized assessment for a confidential client. In this group, Dr. Caprioli works as a biology subject matter expert. Outside this group, she has also participated in a literature review project focused on technical assistance and analysis and in a high school grant review. 

Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Caprioli worked in biology research in both public and private institutions nationally and internationally. Dr. Caprioli’s research focused on organ system development in both avians and mammals. Her work is the subject of more than ten publications in peer-reviewed journals and covers several aspects of cardiovascular, muscular, respiratory, nervous, and epithelial organ development. She is particularly recognized for her work on hematopoiesis, which is often cited by independent, peer-reviewed publications.

In addition to pursuing her interests in research, Dr. Caprioli taught biology and a variety of biology-related postsecondary courses, including immunology and anatomy and physiology. She was a faculty member at Marymount University for ten years, and at American University for two years.

Dr. Caprioli is an Italian native who is fluent in English, Italian, and French.
