Amber Bloomfield
Amber Bloomfield is a senior data scientist in the Technical Solutions program at AIR. Her primary interests are machine learning, statistics, longitudinal data, and providing data-driven insights to support decision making. Previously, she has worked as a data scientist in institutional research for University of Maryland. She has also worked with Maryland K-12, post-secondary, and workforce data through the Maryland Longitudinal Data System Center, and led government sponsored research projects supporting second language training and testing activities and the adoption of new technology solutions as a research scientist at University of Maryland.
Dr. Bloomfield has extensive experience in research design, working with messy and disparate data sources, developing and applying analysis approaches, and communicating findings to stakeholders. She is skilled in using R, SAS, and Tableau.
