Do you have a contact or email address where I can send my resume/CV?

If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process due to a disability, please email Taliba Boone or call 202.403.5000.

All resumes/CVs must be submitted through the online application portal to be deemed a valid submission. AIR's online application can be accessed by clicking “Submit an interest application” within the job description on AIR’s careers page and following the steps.

Is a cover letter required?

You are welcome to submit a cover letter, but please be mindful that a cover letter is not required unless it is listed as a requirement within the qualifications section of the job description. You can only upload one cover letter at the time of your initial interest application. If you apply for multiple positions and would like to upload more than one cover letter, please log in to your profile and upload your additional cover letter under the “Additional Documents” section.

How do I address a cover letter to an unknown recipient?

A cover letter is not required unless it is listed as required within the Qualifications section of the job description. If a cover letter is listed as required within the Qualifications section of the job description then you can address the cover letter to “Dear Hiring Manager” or “To Whom It May Concern.”

I am applying for multiple positions. How can I submit a different resume/CV or cover letter for each job?

You can only upload one resume/CV or cover letter at the time of your initial interest application. If you are applying for multiple positions and would like to upload a different resume/CV or cover letter, please log in to your profile to upload an additional resume or cover letter under the “Additional Documents” section. A cover letter is not required unless it is listed as required within the qualifications section of the job description.

Is a writing sample or letter of recommendation required?

You do not need to submit a writing sample or letter of recommendation when you submit your initial interest application. However, depending on the position, these documents may be requested if you are selected to move forward in the recruiting process. If selected for an interview, the recruiter will provide more information.

I submitted an interest application. What are the next steps?

Thank you for your interest in AIR! For next steps, you will receive an automated email confirming the successful submission of your interest application (check your junk or spam folder if you do not see the email). Please make sure you have entered the correct email address on your profile as this is the email address AIR will use to share updates with you on your interest application.

A recruiter will contact you if you are selected to move forward to the interview stage. If you have not heard from us within 30 calendar days from the date of your interest application, it is unlikely we have decided to move forward with your interest application for that specific position, but we will retain your resume for future openings.

How can I update my resume/CV, cover letter, or personal information?

If you already have a profile created, you can update your resume/CV, cover letter, or contact information by logging into your profile then clicking "Update your profile."

How can I check my interest application status?

You can log in to your profile to see if the position is still listed as active. If the job is still active but you have not heard from a recruiter within 30 calendar days from the date of your interest application, it is unlikely we have decided to move forward with your interest application for that specific position, but we will retain your resume for future openings.
