Teacher Practice and Student Outcomes in Arts-Integrated Learning Settings: A Review of Literature

Rose Goff and Meredith Ludwig

As part of our evaluation work for the Early Childhood STEM Learning Through the Arts Project, AIR conducted a review of key literature in 2011–12 exploring the measurement of teacher practice and student learning in arts-integrated settings. The project, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, is offered by the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. Wolf Trap provides a research-based program of professional development that equips teachers to use arts integration strategies in their early childhood classrooms.
