Common Core State Standards Video Series │Southeast Comprehensive Center

These videos were created in collaboration with the Southeast Comprehensive Center to support states, schools, and teachers in the implementation of the Common Core State Standards. The videos were based on states' needs for professional development support for the implementation of the Standards.

Each video is an audiovisual resource that focuses on one or more specific standards and usually includes examples/illustrations geared to enhancing understanding. The intent of each content-focused video is to clarify the meaning of the individual standard rather than to be a guide on how to teach each standard, although the examples can be adapted for instructional use.

Videos are available for Mathematics (for individual grades K-8 and high school) and English Language Arts (Grades 3, 6, and 9-10).

Southeast Comprehensive Center (SECC)

The Southeast Comprehensive Center (SECC) is one of 15 regional comprehensive centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education for the October 2012–September 2019 grant cycle of the Comprehensive Centers Program. SECC provided training and technical assistance to state education agencies in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina, to enable them to assist school districts and schools in the implementation and administration of programs authorized under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as reauthorized in 2015 as the Every Student Succeeds Act.
