Saki Ikoma is a researcher at AIR. Dr. Ikoma works on research projects focused on analyzing data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress and the High School Longitudinal Study. Dr. Ikoma is specialized in large-scale data analyses involving U.S. and international large scale surveys, and her statistical expertise includes hierarchical linear modeling, structural equation modeling, social network analysis, and propensity score matching.
Dr. Ikoma has done more than 20 presentations at academic conferences such as at the American Educational Research Association, the American Sociological Association, the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), and the University Council for Educational Administration. At CIES, she was elected as the Chair of the Japan Special Interest Group in 2012-2013 and contributed to its transition from the Japan SIG to the East Asia SIG in response to the demand for reflecting a more global context.
