Martyna Citkowicz is a senior researcher at AIR with expertise in quantitative methodology. Her primary responsibilities include study design and analysis, data management, and reporting of quantitative results. She has extensive training in meta-analysis, method assessment, and experimental design.
Dr. Citkowicz's doctoral research focused on assessing and developing statistical models in meta-analysis. Her dissertation was entitled “A Parsimonious Weight Function for Modeling Publication Bias.” Subsequently, she completed a post-doc at the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University where she spent time expanding her statistical knowledge to areas outside of meta-analysis. In particular, she worked on assessing a procedure that aims to improve the generalizability of non-randomly sampled data using propensity scores, derived an effect size that accounts for clustering when it occurs in only one group, and consulted on randomized control trials and meta-analyses. She also served as an instructor at the annual Institute of Education Sciences Summer Institute on Randomized Controlled Trials for Established Researchers.
