Darrick S. Yee is a researcher at AIR with a broad background in policy-related research and methodological expertise in causal inference, multilevel modeling, and educational measurement. At AIR, he has engaged primarily in research involving the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and the High School Longitudinal Study of 2009, including projects linking high school curriculum to achievement and post-secondary outcomes. He is also serving as a quantitative analyst on two IES grant-funded projects, including a state-wide randomized controlled trial of an early childhood program.
As a graduate student, Dr. Yee was employed as a private research consultant for clients investigating policy issues at the district and federal levels; as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard, where he conducted research on teacher accountability systems for multiple state education agencies; and as an instructor for a core graduate-level course in applied statistics. He has also previously worked for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Harvard University’s Office of Institutional Research.
