Dan Sherman is managing economist at AIR, where he previously (1999 to 2007) served as principal economist. He is an expert at executing large-scale economic and statistical analyses, with an emphasis on data collected by survey. Prior to joining AIR, Dr. Sherman was a director of the Health Economics Practice of Barents Group within KPMG Consulting. As managing economist, Dr. Sherman is responsible for working with AIR project directors in the design and execution of projects to assure that they are methodologically rigorous and meet expected standards of quality. He advises individual project teams on a regular basis and also serves as a senior reviewer to assure that they meet corporate quality standards and match client expectations for presentation. Additionally, he works with project managers to assure that projects are appropriately budgeted and staffed. He is also responsible for providing professional development of statistical and methodological topics with AIR.
