Claude Kasonka
Claude Kasonka is the Regional Director for the AIR Office in Zambia. Claude has over 14 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and Economic Analysis. Prior to joining AIR, Claude was M&E and Economics Director for Millennium Challenge Account- Zambia for five years. He also worked in Namibia as Senior Evaluations Advisor for International Training and Education Centre for Health (I-TECH), where he coordinated the design and implementation of evaluation and research studies. Prior to relocating to Namibia, he served in various portfolios including being M&E Expert, M&E Advisor and M&E Specialist at Price Water House Coopers, World Vision, and International HIV/AIDS Alliance respectively.
Mr. Kasonka has extensive experience in setting up and implementing M&E systems, data management and analysis, donor reporting, data quality assurance, capacity building and evaluations. He has also conducted and supervised over 10 evaluations in Zambia and Southern Africa region.
He holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the University of Free State, South Africa, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of the Zambia. He is studying for his PhD.
