Evidence-based policy making and evaluation are a critical part of effective public management and international development. Data and metrics provide a core foundation for planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Governments and organizations are learning to embrace more Open Data and Big Data approaches as a way to streamline and modernize their data-driven policy approaches. AIR develops and implements these approaches to provide new insights into organizational capacity and impact.

People with disabilities who receive a high-quality education and enter the workforce prepared benefit not only themselves, but their families, employers and communities. AIR’s diverse portfolio of work on disability issues provides both expertise and resources to help people with disabilities pursue employment opportunities and gain economic security. Our policy recommendations support people with disabilities by helping them live more independently and more connected to their communities.

Since 2002, AIR has been a leader in international education, development, research and evaluation in developing countries. Starting with our work on the Improving Educational Quality initiative and through our work as a leader on USAID’s EQUIP1 program, AIR has supported Ministries of Education to reform and improve their education systems in over 35 countries.
