AIR was contracted to develop the evaluation design for the San Diego-based Project (re)Launch, which sought to improve employment and health outcomes for veterans with service-connected disabilities by providing intensive case management and wraparound supports.

Project Talent is the largest, most comprehensive study of high school students ever conducted in the United States. Since its launch in 1960, researchers have continued to collect data on the original participants and now its data are helping AIR researchers study possible risk and protective factors of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Causey-Konaté, deputy director of the Southeast Comprehensive Center and senior technical assistance consultant at AIR, lived through the stress and displacement of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In the aftermath, she co-edited a 2018 book by fellow educators and writers who documented their experiences and developed a tiered approach to disaster recovery for education systems and students who experience trauma.
