Young adults (aged 18–39 years) who have received a cancer diagnosis can encounter significant barriers in their transition to employment. This study explored to what extent these young adults know about legal and programmatic supports that may help to address their employment-related needs, and how they would like to receive information about available resources.

As part of its Pay for Success work, AIR developed a workaround to common data obstacles these projects face. AIR was contracted to develop the evaluation design for the San Diego-based Project (re)Launch, which sought to improve employment and health outcomes for veterans with service-connected disabilities by providing intensive case management and wraparound supports.

Monetary incentives are frequently used to improve survey response rates. Using data from the 2016 National Household Education Survey, an address-based sample of U.S. households, this article evaluates an experiment in which the noncontingent incentive amount was determined by a household’s predicted response propensity.

In 2016, the Office of Correctional Education in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation embarked on a process of implementing professional learning communities (PLCs) in all 35 California state prisons. AIR provided professional development and consulting on the PLC process.

The Iowa Teacher Leadership and Compensation (TLC) system was designed to provide career pathways and compensation structures to attract, retain, and reward effective teachers; to promote continuous improvement in Iowa’s teaching workforce; and to increase student academic achievement. As part of an independent evaluation, AIR conducted these case studies of six Iowa school districts to identify promising local strategies for implementing TLC.
