Chief of Party

Serving as Chief of Party for the Afya Uwazi third-party monitoring of the health supply chain in Kenya, Ravi Ram oversees a team of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) and technical experts focused on strengthening accountability and transparency for critical and essential medicines and health commodities. Dr. Ram brings extensive experience working in MEL for the Kenya health system and a commitment to ensuring that real change is felt by people in need.

Having worked across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia for twenty-five years, Dr. Ram brings a strong perspective on what works and what doesn’t in development. His passion is making evidence useful to drive meaningful change. Dr. Ram applies a gender, equity, and social inclusion lens to his work, and he is particularly interested in expanding social participation to ensure that social systems are accountable to those they claim as beneficiaries.

As part of his professional service, Dr. Ram contributes to a variety of civil society initiatives and social movements, globally and in Kenya.
