Meagan Corrado is a senior trauma consultant at AIR. Dr. Corrado has extensive experience developing training and trauma-informed curricula. As the creator of the Storiez Trauma Narrative intervention, she developed innovative training programs to support clinicians, community leaders, and trauma survivors as they process past experiences and look toward a more hopeful future. In conjunction with her Storiez intervention, she has authored six therapeutic guides and three children’s books.
Dr. Corrado is an experienced educator and trainer who has instructed graduate-level social work students at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania, and trained thousands of clinicians and community leaders in trauma-informed approaches. She also has extensive experience as a clinician; for over 13 years, she provided therapy to urban youth in the Philadelphia and Camden, NJ areas, specializing in creative, narrative approaches to trauma healing.
Dr. Corrado has engaged in clinical work in a variety of settings including community mental health agencies, residential treatment facilities, schools, hospitals, and homes. She has extensive experience providing trauma-informed support to systems, and has provided trauma-informed consultation and created customized trauma trainings for Philadelphia’s Office of Homeless Services and the Philadelphia Police Department. She has also engaged in advocacy efforts in conjunction with the Campaign for Trauma Informed Policy and Practice.
