As Chief Systems Architect, Larry Albright designed and built AIR’s Online Testing System. First deployed in 2008, the system is now in use by several state clients and is the model for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium’s open source system project.
Since joining AIR, Dr. Albright has solved a diverse set of computational problems for various federal agencies including the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMMS).
His accomplishments include applied Artificial Intelligence solutions for workforce planning; high-performance designs for high-transactional databases; distributed system designs for highly-scalable architectures; and solutions to problems in constraint satisfaction for real-time test construction from blueprints where hundreds of conflicting constraints are at play.
