This practice area specializes in personnel and organizational performance. It consists of research concerned with developing, validating, and implementing both instruments and systems to understand, predict, and improve the performance of individuals, teams, or organizations. Projects conducted in the practice area draw on a broad range of expertise in individual differences, research design and analysis, data collection, psychometrics, and organizational theory. Because most of the projects in this practice area are immediately applied in practice (i.e., develop a selection program, conduct a survey), not only does our work require knowledge of the most promising personnel and organizational research, but also the ability to immediately apply it to real-world individual and organizational performance issues.
