Training Program Evaluation

AIR has evaluated the effectiveness of team training for both healthcare workers and airline pilots. For healthcare workers, we conducted an extensive case study of existing medical team training programs within the DoD. This analysis led to the identification of best practices and a set of recommendations for future team training. Regarding pilots, we surveyed commercial airline pilots regarding their perceptions and experiences in training. This study confirmed the value (from the pilots’ perspective) of integrating team training throughout the pilot training curriculum as is currently practiced under the FAA’s voluntary Advanced Qualification Program.
