Team Performance Measurement
AIR developed the Performance Measurement Authoring Tool (PMAT) for the NAVAIR Orlando Training Systems Division. PMAT is an automated tool that assists the user in developing measures of individual and team performance. The business rules for the software were extracted from a series of studies in which AIR researchers identified practical guidance for when and how different types of performance measures should be used. Factors found to influence that decision include the level of assessment (individual, team, multi-team), purpose of measurement (diagnosis and feedback versus certification of proficiency), and the type of constructs measured (processes versus outcomes).
