Field Research

We frequently observe users outside of the lab to learn about how their work (or play) environment affects the way they use products. Some examples of recent field observations include:

• Watching interactions between medical practitioners and specialized patient monitoring equipment
• Visiting stock trading floors to watch actual stock traders and specialists interact with simulated trading software
• Riding with police and firefighters to observe how their communication equipment serves their needs in a stressful environment
