NCES provides national statistics about the high school dropout rate. ESSI Is working with the National Institute of Statistical Sciences to review methodologies for calculating dropout rates and make recommendations for improving the quality and comparability of dropout rates (as well as graduation rates) calculated in conjunction with No Child Left Behind.
