Crime in Schools

The NCES Crime and Safety Surveys program oversees a school survey on crime and safety and school supplement to the National Crime Victimization Survey. ESSI staff support the operation of these surveys and co-author reports of the results. Topics in these surveys include gangs, bullying, student victimization, drug availability, disciplinary actions, and use of school security.
