Searching for Solutions Forum Series

AIR and Education Week co-sponsored a forum entitled “Searching for Solutions: An Evidence-Based Dialogue on Teacher Quality.”

The forum attracted more than 100 invited guests from the U.S. Congress, nationally recognized academic and private sector research organizations, and leading education policymaking groups.

Kerstin Carlson LeFloch of AIR gave a presentation summarizing the latest national research available on the state of teacher quality as defined by the federal No Child Left Behind Act. The information was drawn from studies funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

Lynn Olson of Education Week served as the moderator of the discussion. Panelists included:

The forum was held at AIR’s corporate headquarters at 1000 Thomas Jefferson Street, NW, Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, December 11, 2007.
