Determining the Cost of Providing All Children in New York an Adequate Education

  • AIR’s most recent work in the area of adequacy is the recently completed Determining the Cost of Providing All Children in New York an Adequate Education, a fifteen-month project to determine the cost of providing all New York public school students an “adequate” education. "Costing out" is a term regularly applied to this type of analysis of adequacy in education. In the course of this endeavor, AIR worked with Management and Analysis Planning, Inc., to obtain input from professional educators, taxpayers, school board members, parents, legislators, and other constituencies.
